Pure Expression of Thrill
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS offers a choice of powertrain setup suited to different needs. The EQS 450+ comes with a rear-mounted electric motor that delivers 329 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque
In the EQS 580 4Matic, dual electric motors drive each axle for a total of 516 horsepower and 611 pound-feet of torque. A 107.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack feeds both powertrains. The EQS also comes equipped with an adjustable regenerative braking system that further improves efficiency. Together, these features enable the EQS to deliver the thrill and handling of a sports car while also providing the comfort and presence of a luxury SUV.
Thirty-five minutes on a DC fast charger will get the EQS battery from 10 to 80 percent of a full charge. Using a Level 2 charger, you can go from 10 to 100 percent in 11 hours and fifteen minutes. The automaker has yet to confirm the Mercedes EQS range.
Meticulously Detailed
The Mercedes-Benz team engineered the EQS to ensure customers didn't have to choose between form and function. The vehicle assumes a sleek, aerodynamic shape that blends sporty, low-profile contours with functional features.
EQS's trendily-cut silhouette is guaranteed to draw many envious glances, thanks to impressively attractive elements such as a panoramic sunroof, soft-closing doors, LED lamps, and 19-22-inch wheels, which convey the impression of constant sporty driving.
Innovations continue inside, where the electric car boasts an inviting cabin with high-tech functionality. The tech-laden interior promotes a sense of ease, an air of relaxation, and luxurious warmth, thanks to luxury equipment such as multi-contour front seats with massage, active ambient lighting, heated leather seats, comfort front headrest and rear headrest pillows, and four-zone climate control.
All-New Technology Enhances the Luxury Experience
The vehicle features Mercedes' modular architecture, an all-new digital vehicle platform that enables the adoption of the automaker's state-of-the-art technologies.
The MBUX infotainment system on the EQS offers an available 56-inch-long hyperscreen, which Mercedes says is the largest display ever in a Mercedes production car. The MBUX hyperscreen comprises three separate screens: a 12.3-inch gauge cluster, a 17.7-inch OLED central touchscreen, and a 12.3-inch passenger-side touchscreen.
Additional tech features in the EQS include a head-up display, voice command, navigation, USB ports, and a Burmester® 3D sound system with sound personalization.

Sophisticated Driver Assistance Systems
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS features modern assistance systems that enable safer, more relaxed driving, including blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking. Additional safety features include pedestrian detection, self-parking assist, and adaptive cruise control.
